Taking a Homeopathic Remedy

Homeopathy comes in many different forms: liquid, tablets, and ointments.

The most common form is a pellet made from milk sugar with a homeopathic remedy instilled in them using special sophisticated techniques.

A pellet (or number of pellets) has to be put under the tongue to dissolve. Homeopaths recommend not touching the pellet. This is because the amount of the remedy is so minute that any contamination might potentially interfere with the potency of the remedy. For the same reason we recommend storing containers with homeopathic remedies in places free of strong odors, including perfume and food odors.

We also ask that remedies be taken at least 30 minutes before or one hour after meals. The time of the day sometimes is also important. For chronic conditions you might have to take the remedy only once in a few weeks or even months, as long as your condition continues to improve. In some acute cases a remedy has to be taken every 10-15 minutes.
